Mateo Prado came before the City Council this past Monday, November 16
and the council unamiously voted for the property to be torn down.
This should happen December or January.
Coyote in Neighborhood:
A
friendly coyote has been spotted in our neighborhood. The coyote does
not seem to be fearful of humans (he followed one neighbor and their
dog). Therefore, please be cautious around this coyote and call 311 if
necessary to have animal control deal with him/her. Neighbors with
pets and/or kids should be especially watchful and vigilant.
Matthew Meadow Park:
Please
remember to call 911 when you see "shady" happenings at our park. In
many cases, kids that are hanging around the park during the day or in
the evening are up to no good (i.e. selling or doing drugs).
Therefore, if we call 911 and reference drug use, the police will
respond more quickly. These kids will figure out that when they hang
out at the park and are up to no good the police are going to harass or
arrest them and they will find an alternative location.
